Here are list of strategies we use to promote higher levels of
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs:
"You are one of a kind!"
- Personal choice- From clothing they wear, to the food
they eat, to the activities they engage in, we offer choices,
choices, choices!!
- Personal Group Activities- Examples are pen-pal
letters with 1st graders, therapeutic gardening, baking
for family members and more.
- Personal Interests- Providing materials and assistance
for individual interests such as knitting, puzzles, music, and
more.
- Group Outings- Visits to senior centers, theatre,
dining out, and more.
- Community Involvement- Offering opportunities for
residents to restore purpose through assisted volunteer work.
